Azores Golf Islands

Azores Golf Islands brand was created to promote the Azores as a year-round golf destination. We offer three fantastic and unique courses. You will find two on the island of São Miguel and the other on Terceira island.

O Furnas Golf Course was the first course in the Azores, with the original 9 holes designed by Mackenzie Ross in 1936. In 1992 Cameron Powell designed the new 9. The clubhouse was also remodelled and offers a very comfortable and pleasant clubhouse in the “English” style. The club also offers fantastic areas to practice your short game. You will be glad you did as you play your round in an authentic botanical garden. Wi fi is free to all visitors.

O Batalha Golf Course was designed by Cameron Powell in 1992 and presents 27 impressive holes on Batalha’s 120 hectares. The combinations of A/B, B/C or C/A present the player with three very different and challenging rounds. Practice areas are abundant with a fantastic driving range, chipping area and 2 putting greens. Batalha’s bar and restaurant are renowned for the quality of the service, the hospitality of the staff and of course the cuisine, whether a snack or a full course meal. The clubhouse also offers exceptional conditions for weddings, banquets and other events (Max. 250 people). Wi fi is free to all visitors.
